Long Day’s Journey Into Night

Winter is one of our favourite times of year. As the cold descends on the city we stay warm by slurping bowls of hot ramen, drinking delicious whiskies and engaging in all the best in-door activities - like a great movie-marathon.

The Melbourne International Film Festival brings much life, colour and interest to the city for its 10-day run, and this year we were delighted to extend our partnership by hosting two food-and-film experiences.

Chef Ben Pollard created unique menus inspired by We are Little Zombies and Long Day's Journey Into Night, two highlights of the festival - which screened following a shared dinner with other film-goers.

Featuring Asian-inspired flavours from local & seasonal produce, the 5-course banquet menus (and drinks) explored the colours, textures and themes of memory and loss.
